New Clientele - Strange Geometry
Mo. 10. Oktober 2005

Keep an ear out for new shimmery pop nuggets from the Clientele, who some of you may have seen open for Spoon this year. The band's lush I Love The '60s vibe should be welcomed by fans of fellow Britpoppers Belle & Sebastian, not to mention anyone who liked Clientele's last two LPs. For Strange Geometry's dreamy string arrangements, the band got a hand from French singer/songwriter Louis Philippe.
»Since K Got Over Me«, opens the album. Track four is also about »K.« The lady behind this mysterious monogram apparently left our Clientele friend pretty brokenhearted. But he got some lovely tunes out of it.
Listen closely for a subtle nod to Phil Spector one minute in (think »Then She Kissed Me«). In fact, Clientele love the '60s so much they slapped Paul Delvaux's 1963 painting »The Viaduct« on the album cover.
